Extraordinary Factors   Because healing happens on the level of the human being and not just the human body it emanates from the Supreme Being and therefore nothing is impossible.   It cases where even the lightest touch may be too irritating, moves are made in the air above the specific site and clients commonly report that they feel an energetic impulse. Cases of this are common among Bowen therapists. Animals may be even more sensitive to such moves with reports of responses from over a foot away. The normal Bowenwork™ moves often leave residual heat and energetic activity.    On clients who are immobilized and /or too weak to move it is very reasonable to work on another client (i.e. a spouse) while the two are holding hands and for the primary client to benefit from the work.   Since time is a relative commodity it is common in training, and in presentation environments to announce to the universe (in the therapists mind) the two minute wait and then promptly call out (in his/her mind) times up. It works - go figure.   Distant Bowenwork™ can be performed while clients are continents apart. There is an agreed upon time when the client lies in a comfortable prone position, the therapist does air Bowen mimicking each move, the client moves to the supine position and the session continues. Waiting periods are observed or called out.   The trained observer can sense the energetic moment when a move is made correctly. Teachers of the technique can watch a move made by a student from across the room and say “you didn’t get it did you”?   The greatest quality that I feel I bring to the moment of the move once all of the elements of form are correct is to be present with the whole perfect body that is before me.  Not bringing the problem back into the room or even projecting about its success in the future but being present as the humble man who delivers the paint to the Leonardo Di Vinci in all of us.
